There will be market stalls, family discos, glitter painting and even a salsa class!
Taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend from August 25-28, Manchester Pride will see the city join together to celebrate LGBTQ+ equality the way we know how: with parties, festivals, vigils, parades and hangouts.
Kicking off from 7.30pm, the free beginner salsa class will teach you everything you need to know before a Salsa Party kicks off at 9pm with DJ Jane Salsaldi playing the best Latin tracks.Tits N' Teeth Cabaret returns to PLY Manchester on Thursday from 7.30pm for a night of ‘fun, frivolity and games’.
Across the whole event, there will be DJ sets and performances from the likes of Vicar's Daughter, Lill, Kat Brown Sugar, Feel Good Choir, Bertie's Band, Kemani Anderson and Jordan Ashton. Best of all, as you'll have guessed, it's free to attend. Just turn up in your best dressed!Pride will kick off on Friday at the Alan Turing Stage in Sackville Gardens for a thought-provoking protest discussing and celebrating LGBTQ+ rights and equality.
Tens of thousands of people will be marching together for equality throughout the city centre, with thousands more lining the streets to watch the procession go by. There will be the Fatt Project's Palaver Party featuring cabaret, creative workshops, discos and a mini-Pride Parade. Hosted by Fatt Butcher and Blu Romantic, Family Pride MCR will also feature performances from Ginny Lemon, Lady Bushra, Guinness World Records Holder Symoné and Cyro from The Enby Show.
