Sheraco Stakes runner-up Mumbai Muse will make a late charge towards The Everest in The Shorts.
Randwick trainer Michael Freedman is sniffing an Everest opportunity with Mumbai Muse and will back her up in The Shorts on her home track on Saturday.
Sunshine In Paris, which is the $7 second favourite for The Everest, had to pull out all stops to beat Mumbai Muse at Rosehill, while Joliestar, which is an $11 chance in The Everest, was left another 1 lengths away in third. Mumbai Muse has two wins from 12 starts – the Brian Crowley Stakes and Red Roses down the Flemington straight at 1100m last spring.
