LA PRESS FREEDOM WEEK - A multi-day celebration of press freedom and the First Amendment that will engage journalist and the public in and around Los Angeles, co-sponsored by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the Los Angeles Times, in collaboration with the Committee to Protect Journalists, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, and the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.
“NBC Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt will moderate a lively discussion on the question of what diversity means in media—and how it can influence the stories we read, hear, and share. Los Angeles Times Editor-in-Chief Norman Pearlstine will provide the opening remarks for this conversation.We recommend taking public transportation. Parking for the Central Library is at the Westlawn Garage at 524 S. Flower Street.
