Fremantle have pledged their support for Odin Jones , a 19-year-old rookie, after he was ruled out for the entire 2025 AFL season due to a spinal injury. Odin, selected with pick No.5 in the 2023 rookie draft, suffered a fractured vertebrae in a freak accident at a friend's house, leading to spinal surgery and placement on the inactive list. Fremantle 's football boss, Joe Brierty, expressed the club's commitment to supporting Odin through his recovery.
In 2024, Odin scored 11 goals across 11 appearances for Peel Thunder’s seniors and reserves. Meanwhile, the club is considering replacing him with a smaller forward, either Isaiah Dudley or Baynen Lowe, both of whom have been invited to pre-season training
