She said, “For 50 years, I lived with a man who I would’ve never imagined could be capable of this,” adding, “I trusted him completely.” Dominique Pelicot, her husband, declared himself a rapist but claimed he was “crazy” about his wife and still loved her “immensely”. He added, “I loved her well for 40 years and badly for 10”, highlighting the complex and disturbing nature of this case
