New French restaurant with hundreds of crystal lights coming to River Oaks
. The restaurant’s partners, brothers David and Sylvain Denis, are now set to help guide a new project coming to the River Oaks area.
Cocody Restaurant & Bar, a French-inspired restaurant, is being readied for a late August opening at 1971 W. Gray. Chef David Denis and sommelier/general manager Sylvain Denis will be joined by chef Lionel Debon, also formerly of Le Mistral, as operating partners. Cocody is owned by Edwin Bosso, founder and former CEO of Myrtle Consulting Group in Houston, and his wife Edith Bosso.
The 7,000-square-foot restaurant with a 2,000-square-foot courtyard is being designed by Winn Wittman Architects of Austin working with Nina Magon Studio, the Houston interior design firm. According to the press materials, the restaurant will have hundreds of crystal lights in the main dining room which will feature a large bar area as well as a lounge and chef’s tasting room with views of the kitchen.
