A popular skincare product that disappeared from shelves over “concerns” it irritated skin is returning after two years with a new formula.
The Ordinary stopped manufacturing its Salicylic Acid 2% Solution following issues that saw some usersHowever, the cult $9.60 product has been reformulated and the new and improved product is launching on January 21 to a waitlist of over 400,000 people, the brand announced on Tuesday.

Picture: Supplied “This was achieved by ensuring a focused delivery of SA to the outermost layer of the skin, where it is most beneficial, alongside the inclusion of a hydrating saccharide isomerate, offering appropriate barrier support.”
Customers were quick to express joy at the returning product – which is only available on the brand’s website at launch – with some writing life was “finally complete”.“I gave my last bottle to my ex and it’s been discontinued ever since. I was nothing without it. My life is finally complete,” another said on Twitter.
