UK MPs have approved the House of Commons sitting on Friday local time in order to vote on the Brexit withdrawal agreement.

They had previously not been scheduled to be in Westminster on Friday, hence the need for them to approve the extra sitting.

If this passes, the EU will allow the new Brexit date to be set for 22 May. If it does not, on 12 April the UK will either leave the EU with no deal or have to request a longer delay to Brexit.
