"Unexpected" failures have delayed the launch of a new IT system that would allow Northern Beaches Hospital to electronically share vital patient information with other hospitals in the local health district.
But the chief executive of the Northern Sydney Local Health District, Deb Willcox, told a board meeting in February that the system had been unable to be released after testing encountered "unacceptable errors and omissions" in the data. She admitted the "failures are unexpected" but said the system was expected to go live by March 2019.
