Fridays on the Green concerts return to MountProspect this week
Mount Prospect village hall's front porch will host a variety of musical acts beginning today as part of the town's Fridays on the Green concert series.
Kicking off the series is Jay Goeppner and the Backdated Band, an international Beatles cover band with a '60s and '70s rock repertoire. Wall of Denial bass player JD Saffire fired up the crowd when the band performed last year during Mount Prospect's Friday on the Green concert series. The group has a return engagement set for July 14 this year. - Courtesy of Mike Zarnek After a brief hiatus, the schedule picks up on July 14, with Wall of Denial, a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band.
The finale on Sept. 8 will feature The Dill Spears playing a mix of rock, pop, alternative, modern and oldies songs.
