The city is committing up to $12 million to build a new location for the homegrown craft brewery.
Frisco is tapping its economic development funds to attract a craft brewery launched byRollertown Beerworks
Under the agreement, the 24,000-square-foot facility will be built on 2.6 acres of city-owned property near downtown’s landmark silos. Rollertown Beerworks’ plans include production facilities, a restaurant, an event lawn with artificial turf, a stage/pavilion and a two-level tap and tasting room with a beer garden.
Co-owners Ben Rogers and Jeff "Skin" Wade launched Rollertown Beerworks in Celina. The company says it has outgrown its current location and needs a larger facility. The city’s two development corporations will invest up to $12 million to build the brewery. The 23-year lease deal requires Rollertown Beerworks to pay back $10 million of the development costs and cover the facility’s operating expenses. The brewery is expected to employ 36 full- and part-time staff.
