Frisco, Plano among happiest cities in America, study finds
The two cities rank in the top 10 happiest out of 164 cities used in the study. The only other Texas city in the top 50 is Austin.
To uncover the happiest cities, SmartAsset looked at 13 metrics across the three categories and found Frisco at No. 5 in the nation for overall happiness, with Plano following at No. 6. In the personal finance category, metrics used were percentage of those earning $100,000 or more, cost of living, bankruptcy filings and down payment-to-income ratio for buying a home. Well-being metrics included life expectancy and percentage of adults with health insurance. The quality-of-life category used metrics such as poverty level and marriage rate.
