Willamette Valley Fruit Co, Salem, OR is recalling packages of frozen fruit containing strawberries grown in Mexico because of possible Hepatitis A contamination.
The items recalled include Great Value Sliced Strawberries, Great Value Mixed Fruit, Great Value Antioxidant Blend, Radar Farms Organic Fresh Start Smoothie Blend, and Radar Farms Organic Berry Trio.
Hepatitis A is a contagious liver disease that comes from exposure to the Hepatitis A virus. The illness can last a few weeks or several months depending on the severity. For more information on Hepatitis A visit www.fda.gov.Customers are encouraged to check their freezers for the recalled product, throw it away or return it to the store for a refund.
