Victoria Police have located a fugitive in regional Victoria after a 10-day pursuit.
Victoria Police have located a fugitive in regional Victoria who was on the run for 10 days after allegedly ditching his ankle monitor. Michael Ashlin had been on the run since Monday, June 10 after allegedly breaching his parole conditions and removing his electronic monitoring device.
The 40-year-old Bairnsdale man was apprehended “without incident” by members of the East Gippsland Crime Investigation Unit, with help from the fugitive squad. The arrest follows public appeals by the police to locate the man, who was known to frequent Bairnsdale and Melbourne areas.
