Anthony Albanese has revealed the assurances he has given to Narendra Modi after the Indian Prime Minister raised 'concerns' with his Australian counterpart.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has told how he assured his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi those responsible for attacks on Hindu temples in Australia will"face the full force of the law".

Three Hindu temples in Melbourne have been targeted in recent months, with supporters of a Sikh separatist movement allegedly scrawling racial messages. "I gave him the assurance that Australia is a country that respects people's faith," the Labor leader said on Saturday before departing India for the United States.
