Forecasters have warned of possible flooding
Met Office forecasters have predicted the most likely time thunderstorms will hit Nottingham on Saturday, July 8. A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms is in place across all Nottinghamshire on Saturday, lasting from 9am until 11.59pm.
In the warning, the Met Office has said: "Flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds." According to the latest forecast, thunder could hit Nottingham over a two-hour period. The forecast shows a 60 percent chance of thunder at 1pm and a 70 percent chance at 2pm. Highs of 25C are expected throughout the day with some scattered showers, sometimes heavy, expected.10am: Sunny intervals, 23C3pm: Cloudy, 23C8pm: Cloudy, 22C
