Some schools in Scotland have been forced to close today due to the severe weather
As parts of Scotland continue to be hit with sub-zero temperatures and heavy snow, some schools have been forced to close their doors today.
The severe weather has brought chaos to Scots who are travelling and commuting, with disruption and delays happening all over the country and lows of a bon-chilling -10 degrees celsius. Temperatures began to dip last week and the cold snap is expected to continue until Thursday, according to the Met Office. This means that some schools and nurseries haven't been able to open on on Monday, December 12, with others facing disruption to their bus services.
Here is a list of all the confirmed school closures and transport information in Scotland today for each local authority.The rest of the schools, except Alford Academy and Whitehills School, have made changes to their transport routes - please check the website for more information.There are currently no school closures reported for Aberdeen City.
