A series of strikes are set to take place during the May bank holiday
A series of strikes are taking place across different industries across the upcoming bank holiday weekend.
It means public travel for many will either be disrupted or outright cancelled, depending on where you're travelling to and through what mode of transportation. At the start of May, 16 train companies will go on strike while refusing to work overtimes. Meanwhile, airports will face heavy disruptions as Border Officials and workers who refuel planes plan a walkout. For those planning on getting on a plane on these dates from Heathrow, there will likely be extended delays.
Delays may also be compounded after these dates as workers will refuse non-contracted overtime between May 6 and May 11.
