Funeral attendees scattered after gunshots rang out at a Northeast Philadelphia Cemetery.
The bizarre scene unfolded just after 11:30 a.m. at the Magnolia Cemetery in the Tacony neighborhood, where shots were fired into the ground, police said. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Nearby neighbors told the news outlet that the sound of gunfire is something that’s common in the area. “I wasn’t thinking much about it honestly, we hear gunshots all the time,” Michael Batley, owner of Anew Properties, located near where the funeral was taking place, said to theBatley also added that he heard the rapid gunfire, which sounded like an automatic weapon being fired.A police investigation is still ongoing.
