The Temple University Police Association has planned a vigil to honor Fitzgerald at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Temple Bell tower. Fitzgerald is the first Temple University police officer to die in the line of duty, a spokesperson for the university said.multiple times, including standing over him and firing while the officer was on the ground.
Pfeffer was arrested Sunday morning at his home in Buckingham Township, Bucks County and charged with murder and other offenses in Fitzgerald’s killing.
