Furious Preston mum slapped with fine and threatened with debt collectors after parking inches outside parent and child bay
A Preston mum says was slapped with a fine and threatened with debt collectors - despite believing she was parking within a designated parental parking space.
She continued: “I did it for the safety of my daughter and the protection of others’ property, and I was still within the child/ parent parking area.” “The fact they believe this is more important than my daughter’s safety and the protection of others' property is disgusting, especially when I was not preventing the safety and parking of other vehicles.
“They obviously just have a standard template that they sent back saying you weren’t parked in the parking bay full stop, and I don't think they’ve taken into consideration the information that I provided in the appeal. It’s almost like they’re saying that the safety of the child and the protection of other people’s property is less important. It’s frustrating. Every penny counts at the minute, doesn’t it? But it's just a money grabbing operation.
A spokesperson for Group Nexus told Lancs Live: “After careful consideration using clear photographic evidence, the appeal was rejected. The motorist clearly parked outside the bay– we would be happy to share the photos for you to see.
