The Royal Family have appeared to have deleted a statement made by Prince Harry defending then girlfriend Meghan Markle from a wave of “abuse and harassment” from the press and internet trolls.
The Royal Family have appeared to have deleted a statement issued by Prince Harry 's former communications secretary more than seven years ago.
Archive data showed the statement was deleted at some point between December 3 and December 10 last year. The Duke of Sussex claimed in his bestselling memoir ‘Spare’ the statement made both King Charles and Prince William “furious” as his brother and father worried they had not defended their wives in a similar fashion.
“Some of it has been hidden from the public—the nightly legal battles to keep defamatory stories out of papers; her mother having to struggle past photographers in order to get to her front door; the attempts of reporters and photographers to gain illegal entry to her home and the calls to police that followed; the substantial bribes offered by papers to her ex-boyfriend; the bombardment of nearly every friend, co-worker, and loved one in her life.
