ASX-listed Good Drinks Australia is set to acquire Collingwood brewery Stomping Ground Brewing Co in a cash and scrip deal worth $25 million to $30 million.

The WA company’s expected to add Stomping Ground to growing portfolio of craft beer and cider brands, and use it to try and gain a bigger presence on Australia’s east coast. Stomping Ground would act as its foothold in Victoria, and together they would keep trying to tackle the major Japenese brewers that dominate Australia’s beer market.Stomping Ground’s three founders are understood to have committed to remain involved with their business on a day-to-day basis, and will become shareholders in the wider GDA.
