It’s game over at Perth Basin gas player Warrego Energy.

Hancock’s previously lured MinRes’s 19.17 per cent stake to its side and is sitting at 52.17 per cent. Add to that Strike’s 25.99 per cent and Hancock’s at just over 78 per cent - and not far off from the 90 per cent compulsory acquisition threshold.For Strike’s part, it’s just done a chunky capital raise of sorts for free - making $116 million off the increase in Warrego’s share price - without any dilution.
