Gardeners are being urged to refrain from removing dandelions until July, following advice from experts. These bright yellow plants, often considered a nuisance, are not as harmful as they seem and there's a growing movement to let them flourish during the summer months.
There is now a call to 'ban' gardeners from uprooting dandelions due to their crucial role in the ecosystem. The UK Government's own research, as reported by Parliament UK, states: "Insect numbers are difficult to quantify however recent research suggests that in the UK flying insects have declined by 60 percent in the past 20 years."
