The latest Nottingham Forest news as the pundit has had his say on the debate around the Premier League's financial regulations after the Reds were deducted four points earlier this month.
Gary Neville has said that it’s ‘crazy’ clubs would consider breaking financial rules and taking a points deduction just to compete in the Premier League.
It comes after Everton were deducted 10 points, later reduced to six on appeal, for breaching the rules in the previous campaign. The Toffees now face a second charge with Leicester City also charged despite their relegation to the Championship.READ MORE: Nottingham Forest's latest accounts reveal true scale of spending on players as FFP breach addressed
Responding to a point from a Forest fan on The Overlap Fan Debate, that risking the four-point deduction worked out due to staying in the Premier League last season, Neville said: "What do you think would make of what you’re saying and the casual way you describe breaking the rules as some sort of normal thing?
“I get the fact the top six need managing. That’s partly why the regulator needs to come in, to protect the 14 others in the Premier League. The top six is a cartel and one of them is my club. I love my club and I want that club to be at the top of Europe every year so I’m ambitious for my club.
