Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young says gas companies are making windfall profits as they “take Australia for a ride”.
“It’s time they paid more tax, it’s time there was a super profits tax in place, and they stopped rorting the system,” she told Sky News Australia.
“It is price gouging – it’s really holding Australians and households and businesses, particularly small businesses, to ransom.”
