Former prime minister Tony Abbott has been one of Cardinal Pell's most high-profile supporters in Australia., after the public release of the Cardinal's guilty verdict on five counts of child sexual abuse.
But in Sydney, soon after the High Court acquitted Cardinal Pell, Mr Abbott remained tight-lipped on the matter.
