The Peach State reported a record-breaking year for international trade for the second year in a row. 'Today's success is the result of a decades-long vision shared by Georgia leaders,' GDECD Commissioner Pat Wilson said
The Peach State surpassed $47.2 billion in exports in 2022, according to federal export data. The volume represents an increase of 11.4% over 2021, 22.5% over 2020 and 14.5% over 2019.
"Georgia is a global gateway because of consistent investment in our logistics infrastructure and strategic relationships around the world," GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson said in an announcement. According to information from the Census, Texas led the way with $485.6 billion in exports in 2022, followed by California at $185.5 billion.
