Police in Germany carried out raids at several locations in the eastern state of Saxony as part of an investigation into alleged murder threats made by anti-vaccination activists against the state’s premier and other officials, an incident that takes place after Germany imposed tough new restrictions for unvaccinated people amid a record surge in new cases.
The investigation included personnel from the state’s domestic intelligence agency , as some members on the chat group indicated that they possessed firearms or other hunting weapons. Police officials say they have collected statements from some individual members about their alleged possession of sharp weapons and crossbows.
