A WORLD CUP BOILOVER! The No.2 team in the world Germany is OUT - with minnow Morocco and Colombia through in their place
Germany have been sensationally eliminated from the Women’s World Cup after a 1-1 draw against South Korea as tournament debutants Morocco progressed to the Round of 16 thanks to a 1-0 win over Colombia.
At first glance it appeared So-Hyun was well offside, but a German defender had failed to step up with her teammates and played the South Korean on. Although Ghizlane Chebbak missed the spot kick, Anissa Lahmari was jogging on the spot to smash home the rebound and give Morocco a shock lead.
