With the help of her glam team including stylist Jason Bolden, makeup artist Tasha Reiko Brown, and hair stylist Ursula Stephen, Demi dressed to the nines for the special event.“Since this awards season is my very first, I wanted all of my looks to truly be an accurate representation of me while telling a beautiful style story,” Demi tells. “I would best describe my style to be feminine, but at the same time very cool, chic and tomboy-ish.
“Miu Miu pieces always make me feel powerful. Miu Miu has a very youthful energy, as a brand, but it also feels fierce and strong,” Demi says.In fact, Tasha's mood board for the makeup was the Miu Miu dress itself. “Inspired by the gleam of the beading on Demi's gown, I wanted to mimic that glow on the skin and create a satin texture on the face,” she says. “Not too glowy, but enough sheen to catch the light and reflect back healthy skin.
In regards to working with Demi, Tasha says, “We click creatively because we both love timeless looks with modern flair and unique colors. Makeup as art. We always let her wardrobe tell us what face we would love to complete the look. For this evening, the gown was young and chic. We leaned towards teen Naomi Campbell as inspiration.”For Demi, makeup is a detail she can't miss.
