The interval between boosters and second doses in Victoria will be reduced to three months “effective immediately”, Premier Daniel Andrews announced on Wednesday.
"That's on the advice of our public health team, consistent with ATAGI's broader statement. It's safe. It's effective."
“So if you've had your second dose within the last three months, then you will now be eligible - that's is if three months have passed since your second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, you will be eligible for a third dose." “Just to give you a sense of the total equation, there's currently 1,365,004 Victorians who are 18 and over and have had a third dose and with the announcement I've just made, effective immediately, reducing the interval down to three months, there are now 2.45 million Victorians who are eligible, but have not yet had their third dose,” he said.
