Most people living in the western suburbs would regard Geneva as a quiet, friendly town, but Betsy Koepnick, special events coordinator for the local Little Traveler gift shop, discovered about a year ago it can be quite scary. “The Geneva History Museum does ghost walks on the Saturday before Halloween, and my husband and I went on one last year and it’s just really fun. They talk about places on Third Street and First Street and State Street,” she said.

” Striegel said one of the more sensational parts of the tour involves something “that takes place on West State Street.” “I don’t want to give you too many details because it is one of my favorites,” she said. “It has to do with a body on display – back in the day they would display bodies if they didn’t know who someone was.
