Ghostface is on the hunt in a new Scream 6 trailer teaser. Scream is one of the most iconic slasher franchises of all-time. Ghostface's reign of terror started with the original Scream in 1996, which told the story of teenager Sidney Prescott as she becomes the target of a mysterious killer, Ghostface, in the midst of struggling with the first anniversary of her mother's murder.

Although actress Neve Campbell returned as Sidney for 2022's brand-new chapter of the horror franchise, she will be missing when Scream 6 releases in theaters. Campbell will miss her first Scream movie, after starring in all entries of the franchise so far, due to contractual issues.
Along with the survivors of the previous movie, also returning are sisters Sam and Tara Carpenter and twins Chad and Mindy Meeks. The teenagers are said to be trying to start a new chapter of their lives in New York City, before a new Ghostface killer makes their way into the survivors' life. In the tradition of slasher franchisees, not all returning characters are expected to survive.
Scream 6 centering around a cast of mostly returning characters presents an interesting question about who the new Ghostface killer might be revealed to be. New images for the movie have hinted that there might be two Ghostfaces in Scream 6. The previous trailer for the movie showed Ghostface in the killer's traditional clean white mask. However, newly revealed images, and the trailer teaser, have shown a Ghostface that is wearing what appears to be an aged mask.
