The Giants’ devastating exit from the finals means the questions surrounding the future of their players will be answered soon.
Giants’ unrestricted free agent Isaac Cumming has told the club he wants to return to South Australia as Collingwood come hard to convince Cumming’s teammate Harry Perryman to join them.
His decision is likely to have little effect other than salary cap implications for the Crows, who will trade in Demons utility Alex Neal-Bullen and are in the hunt for contracted Gold Coast forward Jack Lukosius. Breakout Giant James Peatling is also weighing up his future despite implying ahead of the club’s semi-final that he wanted to remain at GWS.
A unique skill set and positive attitude throughout the season when he was playing in the VFL will earn premiership defender Jed Bews a new one-year deal at Geelong.
