Gina Chick's sheer love of life is inspiring. Now she wants to use the profile she's gained from winning SBS's Alone Australia to help others appreciate the 'wild adventure of life'.
The winner of Alone Australia , the SBS reality TV show that saw her spend 67 days alone in the Tasmanian wilderness, says she's had a tendency to be "over-large" for all her life.Now Chick wants to share the wisdom she's gained in her life lived "over-large".
"The experience was so profound that my instinctive response was to start to tear the corners of the pages and eat them, to take the story inside myself so Mowgli could never leave."Chick has tried to hold onto the vivid imagination of her younger self, and has a strong appreciation for how kids see the world."That ability to just be surprised and captivated by the world, before we've layered so much meaning over every single thing that we don't see it anymore.
"And the beauty was so profound for her, it would break her into tears, and she would have to go out and put all of herself into that experience."
