Girl, 11, stabbed in Leicester Square attack is Australian, government confirmsWed 14 Aug 2024 14.48 CESTAn 11-year-old girl who was stabbed eight times in Leicester Square in London this week is an Australian national, the country’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has said.
A Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokesperson said consular assistance was being provided to two Australians injured in London. No other details were provided. The court heard Pintaru was a Romanian citizen of no fixed address. The charges were read to him via an interpreter during the 10-minute hearing.
