There is a new push to axe some of NSW’s strictest lockdown measures as the school holidays approach, with both Labor and Liberal MPs coming together to insist outdoor restrictions and curfews must be eased.

Several MPs have called on the government to fast-track the slashing of restrictions in the 12 “local government areas of concern” even before the state reaches its 70 per cent vaccination target.

“The Premier herself admitted the use of curfews did not have much of an impact on stopping the spread of covid.
