They wrote in the visit book that a sandwich had been made for the service user and everything was well

Samera Sajid has been slapped with a warning by the social services watchdog following her behaviour. But during a teatime visit at 5.30pm, they recorded in the visit book they attended between 8pm-8.30pm stating,"sandwich made, had a chat, locked up, all well". investigation, Sajid's fitness to practise was found to be impaired."Falsifying the notes to say you did attend the tuck visit when you did not was dishonest.

"Accurate records must be maintained when working with service users and as a lone worker your employer, the service users and the public rely on you, to be honest, and provide the care you say you will."The report went on to say:"The behaviour was pre-meditated as you gave the service user a sandwich at tea time and locked the door when this should only be done at the tuck visit.

"As a lone worker carrying out home visits, it is important that you are honest and do the work expected of you, as service users are relying on you to deliver that care." Sajid co-operated with the SSSC investigation and was found to have shown insight into their behaviour, which was an isolated incident.
