A Glasgow charity that supports the city’s older generation has been given a major cash boost.
From left: Joe Connelly, Dot Irwin, Keith Mitchell , Robert Laidlaw, Kenny McNicol, Karen Lochrie, George DearieGlasgow’s Golden Generation , which has been supporting older adults for almost 75 years, was awarded £65,000 by the National Lottery Community Fund.
All three centres will benefit from the £65K, which will help them to support their communities over the course of a year. “Our three-day care centres across the city provide the foundations of the charity and ensure older adults can access the support they need. ”Everyone is impacted by the current cost of living crisis, but data shows that people with disabilities are more affected.
