Ajay made a 16 element Indian street food Chaat which included battered kale, artichoke chips, fruits, potato and peanut butter crochet, crispy rice flour boats and chutneys.

Ajay Kumar struggled in the first round of the finals of BBC's Great British Menu with his Scottish and Indian-inspired dishes.

The 19th season of the popular BBC cooking competition, which premiered earlier this year, sees celebrated chefs vying to secure a place cooking at the prestigious Great British Menu banquet. The theme of this year is the Olympics and Paralympics, with the chefs hoping to cook at a banquet that will treat the UK's athletes before they head to the Paris 2024 Games.

Called Row Hard Or Row Home, the dish was inspired by Glasgow gold medal winner Dame Katherine Grainger.
