The community event in Govanhill saw volunteers turn out in drives to help pick up rubbish from the streets in an annual spring clean
Volunteers hit the streets on April 27 armed with bags to lift rubbish during the spring clean.
Businesses, Govanhill Housing Association, Glasgow City Council, Al-Farooq Education and Community Centre and Greater Govanhill CIC were among the organisations who took part.READ MORE: New Glasgow Gaelic school set to open in January 2026 as plans approvedSouthside Central councillor Soryia Siddique said: "Thanks to Govanhill residents and all local organisations that contributed to an incredible turnout for the Govanhill Spring Clean.
"It is great to see local communities from all backgrounds working together for a cleaner and safer area for all.Dr Siddique, Labour, added: "Govanhill once again shows its wonderful diversity and community spirit." Al-Farooq Education and Community Centre operations manager Faisal Yousaf said on social media the clean up focused on litter picking around Allison Street and side streets.
