The new signage is hoped to reduce incidents of conflict on the roads
Glasgow has become the first local authority in the UK to introduce signs to alert drivers to the presence of cyclists.
The solar-powered electronic signs have been installed in a number of locations across the city where there are issues with sight lines and heightened risk of drivers to pull out or turn across the path of cyclists.Smart sensor technology detects cycle movement and alerts the electronic signage to increase safety.
Cllr Angus Millar, Transport and Climate Convener said: "We want people to think of cycling as accessible, safe and attractive, and as an everyday transport mode and leisure activity.
