retailer have spoken of their shock after the business suddenly closed its flagship store at a Glasgow shopping centre. It began trading in the unit next to Mamas & Papas and Waterstones, and launched a major recruitment drive. It is unclear exactly how many people have lost their jobs as a result of the closure, which took place on Monday. One worker said:"It is still a shock to everyone, given that we only opened at the turn of the year. It's a reals shame as it was popular with customers." The business mainly sold menswear, including suits, denim and casualwear, but also stocked a selection of designer brands including Michael Kors, PLT and LUKE 1977.The owner, who does not wish to be named, told the Glasgow Times that DB1 Clothing is now focusing on building its online sales.

He added:"We are very sorry to see the store close but we will continue to trade online. We are investing in our website so that customers know they can continue to purchase items from us at db1clothing.com.
