Homeless Project Scotland has spoken out after being 'forced' to move their soup kitchen from close to Glasgow Central Station to down on the banks of the River Clyde.
A Glasgow homeless charity has warned that hungry kids face "treacherous" conditions to access food after a busy soup kitchen was moved to the banks of the River Clyde.
He told Glasgow Live: "We were told that there was a petition started by the owner of the Blue Lagoon which was signed by a number of businesses. The only people who refused were Platform and Cafe Sono. He added: "Children are facing treacherous conditions to get fed. The wind blows straight through the bridge, it's blowing the gas out of our stoves so it's taking us longer to get food cooking.
"When the weather gets worse, it's going to be even more treacherous so we're desperate to find an indoor venue that is suitable. We've been offered one by Network Rail but it needs £1 million worth of renovations which we don't have."It's understood the soup kitchen will remain temporarily on Broomielaw until a long-term solution is agreed between the three parties.
