The popular spot will be closed for almost four weeks
Stravaigin on Gibson Street has earned a reputation as a local foodie institution since opening in 1994 thanks to a strong focus on showcasing the best of Scottish produce in a space that’s both relaxed and irresistibly cosy.Under new ownership, the bar and eatery is now entering the next phase of its 30-year journey with a makeover planned to upgrade and enhance its unique interiors starting from Monday, January 30.
Michael Horan, managing director of Metropolitan Pub Company who acquired Stravaigin in 2022 along with Ubiquitous Chip and Hanoi Bike Shop, said: “Stravaigin is a Glasgow institution and held in great affection by its patrons. “I know this first hand from many years living in the West End with my Glaswegian wife when we both regularly enjoyed visits with family and friends.
“The passion, talent and creativity within the team – led by Head Chef Jambo, General Manager Olivia, and Marquis who has helped to run Stravaigin for 19 years - is evident.“It will very much be an evolution of Stravaigin, not a revolution, but we are confident our patrons will approve.”For more updates follow them on social media
