A Glasgow resident was left shocked after looking out of their window to see one of their bins engulfed in flames yesterday morning, April 8.

The incident occurred at around 8am on Armadale Street and was noticed by the local, who wishes to remain anonymous, after they woke to the smell of burning. Whilst looking outside they spotted a bright orange fire bursting from the melting remains of a blue bin. "Wasn’t sure if it was intentional or if someone had just not stubbed their cigarette out by accident."The vicious fire was put out by those living nearby before it took hold of the nearby bins. The resident added: "My partner went out with a bucket and put most of it out and another neighbour came out eventually."The concerned local has revealed they will be "installing extra security" to ensure a similar incident doesn't happen again. The emergency services were not called to the blaze.
