Glasgow was battered by endless rain yesterday, leading to major flooding on roads and rail lines which sparked mass travel disruption, with multiple rail and bus services cancelled.
A 'danger to life' warning was issued by the Met Office for the Greater Glasgow area until early this morning. The heavy rainfall caused travel chaos, including flooding on roads and rail lines, leading to cancellations and suspended services for rail and bus services.
"Customers are advised that they should expect delays, and to check their journey before travelling by keeping an eye on the ScotRail website, app, or social media feeds for live updates." Vincent Fitzsimons, flood duty manager for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency , said: "I want to be very clear that this is not a normal autumn day for Scotland. We're expecting extensive river and surface water flooding in affected areas. There is a danger to life.
