A play that aims to depict the impact of gang culture and knife crime in Scotland is set to take to the stage amid a youth violence epidemic.
The 36-year-old, who studied performing arts, was inspired to raise awareness of the impact of gang culture, which he claims has "never gone away". Liam went on to explain that he has been affected by the Daily Record's Our Kids ... Our Future campaign, which aims to tackle the issue of youth violence in Scotland. Just last week, we reported on the sentencing of 18-year-old knife killer Daniel Haig.
"It goes to show that this is still happening in real life. Even after all these years, families are still being torn apart because of knife crime." Liam continued: "Our Kids ... Our Future is so relevant, it has the same aims of our show. It is clear throughout the show that there is nothing in place to support young people.
"Giving kids safe spaces and things to do is so vital. If kids have no prospects, we can't change this pattern. By giving them nothing, the cycle only continues."
